The Journey to Atlantis will take you to an entirely different kind of world while the Great White plunges riders into the depths with an eight-story drop. For an even bigger drop, take a ride on the Steel Eel, the Southwest’s first hypercoaster and the smoothest ride ever. If your little ones are bummed about the height restrictions, remind them that many roller-coaster fanatics took their first ride on the Shamu Express; you only have to be 38-inches tall for this one. If all that water has you in the mood for a little refreshment, take a ride on the Rio Loco or the Texas Splashdown. The Next Step

The Resident Camp program gives kids from five to twelve a chance to spend an extended time at the park and get to know more about the animals and animal-related careers. A variety of Day Camps are available for children as young as one with age-appropriate themes. Remember, parents must accompany children younger than five. If you don’t mind camping out in your sleeping bag, have dinner and get to know the animals even better during the evening hours with a Sleepover Camp.
